Beautiful views on Skyline Drive.

View of the town of Shenandoah through the haze.

The most beautiful tree we saw today.

(Elena Writing) After a leisurely morning we left Lewis Mountain Campground and drove north on Skyline Drive to Big Meadows Campground to use the dump station. We then drove south on Skyline Drive to H-33. We took H-33 west to Harrisonburg, VA which is one of the larger towns in this area of Shenandoah Valley. We have an appointment to have work done on the generator tomorrow morning and are spending the night at Wally World.

The colors along Skyline Drive have changed quite a bit in just the last couple days. Several areas were really beautiful along today's route.

After arriving in Harrisonburg we did some shopping and then had dinner at Cracker Barrel. We've been looking forward to having dinner there on a Thursday night when they have their weekly turkey special. We had turkey with stuffing, gravy, sweet potato casserole, collard greens, and fried okra along with biscuits and corn muffins. Then we shared our favorite dessert of apple dumpling with vanilla bean ice cream. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
