(Ron Writing) We enjoyed a beautiful day today with temperatures in the mid 70’s, no wind, and clear blue sky. We spent the day at home catching up on some odd jobs and relaxing.

Friends Don & Camilla are here again this year. I went over to see Don and we had a nice visit out on his patio. The large solar system he installed last winter served them well this summer. They spent most of the summer boondocking and had all the electricity they needed without adjusting their power usage or ever using a generator.

A few weeks ago I replaced our original shower head with a Waterpik EcoFlow 1.5 gpm model. The original one, like almost all the shower heads sold, was rated at 2.5 gpm. We really like the new one – we get a better shower using less water. This is a big advantage when boondocking. The attachment of the shower head on the wall of the shower has always been kind of low so I installed a new bracket about 10” higher. Big improvement.

I have a long list of things I to want modify, fix, or upgrade on the truck and trailer this winter so I think I’ll keep busy for awhile.

This afternoon we went for a long walk around most of the streets of North Ranch. We could see quite a few changes from last winter and some of the lots and homes that were for sale a year ago are still for sale.
