KAPOORS ON THE ROAD

It’s just a two-hour drive from Chemanius to the Storey Creek Golf Course, just south of Campbell River. There are so many scenic places to stop along the way, but we decided we wanted to get an early start on our 9 holes of golf, so we just whizzed along and arrived in time for a late breakfast at the course itself. The waitress was particularly friendly and welcoming, it was clear we were not regular players there.

The weather was much warmer than we are used to in Victoria, so we welcomed the shady trees lining the course. The fairways were quite narrow and we found the course rather tough, but that didn’t dampen our spirits at all. It was good to be on the road, exploring new territory and seeing new sights. We were particularly impressed with the views of the Coastal Mountains on the mainland, still heavily laden with snow from the previous winter.
