Sally learns to drive a buggy

What a magical place! We are ready to return already. No autos - the only Michigan state highway that allows no autos. 8 miles around the island on the best bike trail ever. Gregg did it 3 times, Sally only twice. We stayed on the island all day - from first ferry over to last ferry back. Driving our buggy with our cool horse Beth Ann was a highlight. We learned to pronounce Mackinac correctly - Mack-in-awe.

We traveled along the north shore of Lake Michigan to reach Mackinac in Lake Huron. All the Great Lakes are spectacular, clear, clean and beautiful shades of blue and aqua.

We'll camp on the shore of the St Mary River that connects Lakes Huron and Superior at the busy Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie, watching the freighters go slowly by.
