The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

The sun continued to shine so we decided to walk from the small village of Undeloh to Wilseder Berg the highest point on the heath at a mere 169m.

Our walk started through shady woodlands and then we wound our way across the moor, back in woods alongside the moor and then to reach the summit open moorland again. Whilst walking through the woods it was cool but out on the open heath it was hot.

A lot of the original moors have been drained for farm land, others parts of the moors are NATO military exercise areas and so now only a small part remains as a conservation area.

It was a beautiful walk and the views across the moors were lovely. We sat and ate our lunch in the shade of the tree before heading back to Undeloh.
