The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

We left Bremen and headed 60 miles east to the Sudsee Camp near Soltau to explore the area known as the Luneburg Heath. We had contacted the campground before hand and they confirmed that either their stellplatz or their campground could accommodate us providing we left before 28 May just before the German public holiday weekend.

We arrived safely and after looking at the campground places and the stellplatz we decided it was easier and cheaper for us to stay on the stellplatz. Although they usually have a 3 day limit on the stellplatz they said because of the time of year it was OK for us to stay there till the 28 May if we wanted to.

After doing a dump at their easily accessible motorhome dump station we set up on site and for the first time since last summer the summer clothes came out as it was starting to get hot. We enjoyed the rest of the day sitting out enjoying the glorious sunshine. Hope it continues.
