On the Road with Tom and Gloria travel blog

I spent the day with Jane and Jim at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort. They treated me to lunch ( fried artichoke heart appetizer was yummy!) and then drove me around the area - most of which looks fairly new. The thing that really put a smile on my face was the fact that the football stadium, the hockey arena, and the spring training facilities are all within 2 miles of the park. The park is close to several major highways - it only took me fifty minutes to get there. Some guests were having a "lawn bowling" tournament and there was a water polo match going on in the pool. There are pros and cons to every RV park but this one seemed very nice and Jane and Jim are happier there than they were in Tucson. The time has come for me to decide where to spend next winter and this park is definitely one I will consider. I guess I had better sit down one day soon and set my route for the summer and make reservations for next winter.

The weather is changing - as I write this I can hear the wind gaining strength and I am waiting for the predicted rain to start. No short sleeves and sunglasses tomorrow - get out the jeans and rain jacket!
