Paka is both a small fishing village as well as residence for the 100's of Petronas employees that work at the refineries just south of town.

The beaches and ocean waters here are beautiful but have the potential to be even much more. Further down the beach from our hotel, villagers use the 20 meters of golden sand as a dump yard and toilet. The shoreline was so bad that we couldn't continue our walk. A shame really.

We found a nice hotel to rest for a few days ...
