On the Thursday one day later than we originally planned we headed down to Bearstead near Maidstone in Kent ready for our crossing the following Thursday 1 May back into Europe.

The weekend was spent prepping ourselves ready for crossing onto the continent . This included shopping for the little items not so easily obtained.

On the Wednesday we met up with Ross and Penelope, Canadian friends who were visiting the UK for a family get together. We had an enjoyable day visiting Canterbury particularly the cathedral and catching up on old times. The weather was glorious. It was so good to see them again.
