(Ron Writing) We had some rain last night and it was cloudy almost all day. We had light rain off and on while we were driving. We continued west on Highways 16 and 26 to Colebrook, NH and then took US-3 south in New Hampshire right along the border with Vermont. At North Stratford, NH we crossed into Vermont and continued on VT-105 heading west across the north end of the state. At Derby Center we took VT-100 south and drove to Waterbury, VT where we are parked at the Shaw’s Grocery Store lot for the night. We came through Waterbury on our way east last Spring and spent a night at this same spot.

We stopped at the Cold Hollow Cider Mill in Waterbury to sample fresh pressed cider. We could see how this was done. We tasted delicious apple cider donuts; they were delicious! I was enjoying the delectable treats so much that I forgot to take pictures.

Nearly all of our route was on lightly traveled secondary highways marked as scenic byways. We made a few stops to take some photos to help preserve the memory. We enjoyed these jaw-dropping, magnificent views of nature.
