One of the 39 churches

Today is our last full day in Antigua. Anita left this morning and Chrissie and Brian are off to Lake Atitlan for a few more days. Our first morning not to have to rush so we take our time. We decide to walk into Antigua for breakfast and we cannot get into Dona Luisa Xicotencatl so we go to the Condessa Cafe in the square which has a lovely courtyard. The usual eggs for breakfast. We will look like an egg at the end of this trip as we have them every morning. Standard fare! Phil needs a haircut and beard trim so he finds a Barberia and gets pampered for 40 minutes for A$4. He loves it!! We now a chance for some retail therapy. Yeah! There are so many lovely shops to wander through but it is hard to resist until I remember that I have to carry it! There is also a market. Phil buys a small radio which can take a USB for his shed at home and to use while we are away. It was fun bargaining with the two young lads at the stall. Of course we managed to find some lovely bits and pieces for Madi so we have a parcel to send from Santiago. Its nice to have a rest day and just chill!

Back to the Hotel to drop off our purchases and later that evening we walk back in to the city to Rainbow Restaurant for a quiet drink and then we stayed for dinner. Good food and at the end of the evening another bumpy tuk tuk ride over the cobblestones. At least it works off the calories!
