After driving up to the Lower Hunter Valley we were in need of refreshment. We found a motel to kip the night in Cessnock (complete with much needed swimming pool - temperature 35 degrees) and then headed off for our first appointment with Sarah's old workplace at Lindemans cellar door. They still grow grapes here but all production has moved further afield. We were given a quick tour of the wine making museum and buildings and then got stuck into some tasting. This was great fun and was quickly followed by a visit to Brokenwood cellar door and to the Small Winemakers Centre - we think it is called this because they are vertically challenged. Early night after a quick swim. Still solid.
