Arequipa (also known as the White City) is the second largest city in Peru and is a lovely colonial town with beautiful plaza.

I tried to be a bit cultural by visiting a couple of churches & museums (one of which had a real life frozen ice mummy in it - very freaky! but was actually very interesting hearing about how the incas sacrificed their children to the gods on top of mountains!)

And we've also just booked ourselves on a 3 day trek around Colca Canyon - a very famous viewing spot for condors (no am not turnning into a bird watcher!) but CC is one of the most famous tourist spots in Peru - it is also the second deepest canyon in the world. So, i must be crazy but am quite getting into the hiking now and will be great practice for Inca trail which is main reason why we're doing it really!

We decided to have quite a big night out a couple of days before the trek so we would be well recovered and need to of course say goodbye to Talli & Paul in style..however due to drunk Paul's VERY bad influence it turned into two HUGE nights out on the trot...too much tequila, mojitos and everything else...really never drinking again. (although on a positive note i discovered that i can speak fluent spanish when drunk!) ...day 1 of the trip is going to be bad!
