|This weekend is a festival of history weekend in Milton Keynes.
They have taken over the park with their tents of all sizes and are showing off their skills of toolmaking, woodworking, cooking medieval meals and fighting with swords, spears and arrows.
A light shower of rain didn't put them off and they all had wood fires burning around their tents.
It was just by luck that we found out it was on - they had very little in the way of advertising for it. When we walked around Willen Lake the other day I spotted a poster and got the web address which wasn't much more help!! Anyway we found out the main details and off we went. There were some very interesting stalls in the large tents for the different National Trust properties and historic sites in the area.
Fact of the day - a hedgehog can reach a top speed of 9.5km/h
