The view from our campsite at Johnsons of St. Mary.

The Saint Mary's (eastern) entrance to Glacier National Park (GNP).

Willis and Blayde at GNP enjoying one of the clear streams.

There really aren’t any words that can fully express how pretty Glacier National Park and this area of Montana is. We have enjoyed every drive, view, and section of this locale.

We are currently staying at Johnsons of St. Mary RV Park located directly on the outskirts of the GNP east entrance and, although it is filled to capacity, it doesn’t feel crowded. We can see both upper St. Mary Lake and lower St. Mary Lake from our camping area.

Many of the guests here are disappointed that the Going to the Sun Road (normally a 50-mile drive) is closed 13 miles up due to snow. I can’t say that I am disappointed at all as I am enjoying the view from down here just fine.

We hiked into the park, enjoyed the streams, rivers, and perfect weather. We have been so fortunate to have weather cool enough that we still are wearing long sleeves and light jackets. However, you can tell we are the tourists because the locals are all wearing shorts… they are much more cold resistant than we are I suppose.

Tomorrow we head into Canada and will meet up with Mark and Julia. I am soooooooo looking forward to seeing them!

Happy Travels,

Rebecca
