|Left very wet Corsica after a drive through the mountains with small waterfalls cascading down the hillsides and across the road while one river we crossed had become a fast flowing torrent. Apparently there are a number of drowning deaths each year as rain in the mountains quickly translates into fast flowing rivers and hikers can get caught.
All smooth at the airport and we arrived in Paris to sunshine and 23 degrees. Picked up in a huge bus for just the five of us. Two American couples are staying at the airport as they have early flights in the morning.
Arriving at the hotel felt so familiar so I picked up an apple and a little something from the Boulanger across the road.
We're off to dinner this evening - one American chap plus the four Australian women, with everyone but me due to leave tomorrow.
Have been studying the metro map and have the next couple of days planned. Driving through Paris and around the Arch de Triomphe suggested that it is still tourist season. Hopefully I will be in the not so hectic places.
No photos today but I have loaded some for yesterday.
