We've made the decision that enough is enough of the coastal route - it's more than a driver and navigator can enjoy day after day. Beautiful but hard work with twisty, turny roads, narrow roads with no shoulder. The driver can't take his eyes off the raod for the views, can't find enough places to pull over and stop. The navigator takes her life in her hands every time she unhooks the seat belt for a run to the side window to try to get a picture of what we just passed. We feel we've seen the best of the coast and it's time to head on to different scenery - so inland we go across about 60 miles to the north side of the island.
