The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

We headed south again to Bordeaux. The journey started with a little tense moment when we had to get by some road works with just inches to spare, just after we left the campground. There was further road works through another town but not too narrow.

We also had to fill up with LPG for the first time in France but that went without a hitch. Nice wide space and a very high canopy.

We got to the campground just outside Bordeaux and thought for a while that we wouldn’t find a pitch big enough for us (despite them saying we would have no problem when we contacted them a few days before). Eventually we found a spot by parking on the very wide road between a number of smaller sites which we noticed that a number of other European motorhomes were doing in other areas of the campground. We checked with the office and that was fine by them.
