It rained and rained. We ventured out during a break in the clouds. Whitehorse is a good size town. It had major department stores along with the historic downtown shops and restaurants.

We had lunch downtown and walked over to the park to check out the crowd. Turns out it was June 21, Summer Solstice and Aboriginal Day. They had a celebration going on in the park. It was damp and muddy, which still didn't stop the crowd from coming. Kids were enjoying jugglers and clowns and the adults were being entertained by bands and story telling. They have a replica of the towns history in the part. The buildings were not open during the celebration. The crowd was too large to manage though them.

The Transportation museum has an actual airplane that is a working weather vane. Check the pictures.

We wanted to take the boat ride through Miles Canyon. It was still raining and the cloud cover was low so we didn't sign up for it. We did get a chance to walk down to foot bridge and and hike around a little.
