Our welcome.

Our friends and tour guides, Suzanne and Tom.

We took a drive to Daytona Beach for the day. Found a place to park and walked the beach for a while. From there we decided to drive north along the Atlantic Parkway. This is where we found the biker hangout. The streets, restaurants, hotels were full with bikers. It was like cruising in the old days, but with a lot of motorcycles around you. It was fun.

We then turned around and drove to the south end of the island, with some of the bikers and other tourist to see the Lighthouse. It was very tall and busy, we walked the grounds and decided not to go up into the Lighthouse. Too many stairs..and people! Plus we were both hungry.

We found a fun out of the way place called The Boondocks. It was on the Marina on Wilbur Bay. We shared Shrimp Fettuccini and a Fish Reuben, because we could not decide. They were both excellent and ended up taking 1/2 of it home with us for our dinner.

3/8/16

We had lunch with Tom and Suzanne. We met them in Banff National Park in Alberta Canada. We shared many RV parks along the way on our trips through Alaska in 2011. They live in Port Orange. It was fun to visit and catch up on what we have been up to the last 5 years.

We drove around town and they showed us the speedway and where they grew up. They shared with us how the area has changed through the years.

It was a good visit and hope to share another travel trip with them in the future.
