FER:

FER:

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo =) Lets see since the last time we updated the blog we left India, spent a week in Hong Kong, Bangkok and now we're in Krabi but only for a night cause we're taking a ferry over to Koh Phi Phi in the morning =)

But lets back-up for a sec. As you know, we froze our butts in Hong Kong but were lucky in that nothing of ours was taken when our friends apt was broken into. Other than that it was VERY FUN hanging with Olo and his frineds. The flight to Bangkok was nice and short and the Bangkok airport is quite NICE. We were blown away by this city. We were thinking it would be something between Egypt and India, but NO WAY. The minute we left the airport in a taxi, it was like we were driving down the 405 in Los Angeles, the city is very modern and VERY CLEAN. It's public transportation system, mailny the Metro is AWESOME. But guess what, our first night in Bangkok Caro got sick and we ended up at the Hospital in the middle of the night, it was something like 4:00 am. Again she got food poisoning, we think from cheese cake in the plane. After a couple shots and some medicine she was all good, we were just tired. As you can see from the photos the place we couchsurfed at is a mixture of ART COLONY and BAR. But as you can tell from the shower pic, the place is falling apart =( While drying after a shower, about a bucket of water fell through the ceiling from the floor above ( I think the restroom, I HOPE THE SHOWER) So we both had to re-shower =( It was all good =) So anyway, Caro worked with this guy Jesse through her social work and by chance he told her about his brother living in Bangkok. Give him a a call Jesse said, SO WE DID =) His brother, Cholo and his wife Linda invited us to dinner and then to stay at their place, woooooooooooo =) Fisr of all let me say this, they are an AWESOME couple, super nice and GREAT to get along with and MAN CAN THEY DRINK!!!! Thing is they both work for the American Embasy out here in Bangkok, so we basically went from a place wher the roof was falling down to a bulding named PENG MANSION =) I put up a pic of the view from their balcony in which you can see the Embasy (white building in the middle) anyway, their place is very nice but even better is that since they travel ALOT, the place is full of things from allover the place. The building houses several of the Enbassy employees and they're pretty much all friends, acutally they're more like family and we got to meet them all over drinks on several nights and then at the Thanks Giving dinner. What a great group of people =) Oh Yeah! Since Linda and Cholo are Mexican they had Beans and Tortillas =) MAN it was like having a piece of heaven if only for a few days. WE took a couple of tours, one to a floating market where we bought a couple things along with some fruit and stuff. First they take you by motor boat to the edge of the market which by the way goes pretty fast and lots of water splashes INTO the boat. Caro and I got pretty wet but it was hot and fun so it was cool =) Then when you arrive at the market you transfer to a small almost gondola like boat, where a person is paddling from the back. Funny thing is that when you pass by one of the other boats selling something, they pull your boat over with this long cane =) I think this is why there's so much traffic cause they sometimes won't let you go until you buy something =)

Anyway this is where the pics pretty much ended, so we'll stop here cause i'm now going on almost 4 hours on this comp. UPLOADING pics takes SOOOOOOO LOOOONG!!!!!

But as i mentioed, today we left Bangkok for Krabi but only for one night cause n the morning we're taking a ferry over to Koh Phi Phi =) HELLLS YEAH!!! I'll pick-up where I left off in a couple days the temples and ruins of Bangkok along with the first batch of pics from the first of many islands here in South East Asia =)

From the beaches of South East Asia, Fer and Caro =)
