Chet and Gaye's house. Currently being painted.

Much delicious food at our potluck.

Our mini-boomerang group in Twillingate.

(Ron Writing) The weather was very cool and cloudy all day but at least it didn’t rain.

This afternoon we went to a Steven Rogers Concert in the old Church Museum. We heard Steven play the piano and sing in church last Sunday. He began by playing two hymns and a couple Irish songs on the old 1903 pipe organ. Then he played the button accordion, keyboards, tin flute, and sang a few songs. He is an excellent musician on all these instruments and plays them with a flare.

After the concert we had a mini “Boomerang” (i.e., Escapees Boomers party) over at Chet and Gaye’s home here in Twillingate. Chet and Gaye were full-time RVers from the California who visited Twillingate in 2007, fell in love with the place, and purchased an elegant historic home that’s over 100 years old. We had 15 Boomers at our potluck and had a very enjoyable time.

This evening we attended a Gospel concert at the Salvation Army church. We got there on time but the place was already packed and we ended up way in the back where I was unable to take any photos. The musicians were all local people – some quite good and some that need a little more practice before they take their show on the road.
