Sometimes I do things just to keep my wife happy, and tonight was one of those times, but what a rewarding experience it was. When we were in the tourist information center in Scott earlier this week, the lady mentioned that on Friday nights a group of amateur musicians gather at the center for a Cajun Jam session and anyone who wants to listen is welcome. That's all Linda needed to hear, and our schedule was set in stone. Well it was an evening of pure enjoyment for both of us. These may have been amateurs, but they knew how to play and we knew how to listen. It is impossible to keep your feet still when Cajun music is being played. I understood not one word of their singing and Linda picked up a few from her French class memories, but we both recognized good music played and sung from the heart and with joy. Sorry no videos due to amateur video operators. A few pics are included, no labels required.

Tomorrow night we are going to a restaurant with a Cajun band to see how the Cajuns dance. Stay tuned for another action report.
