Hank and Marilyn Coast to Coast 2017 travel blog

Beautiful traveling weather

Dear friends Ghyll and Vito

From the rugged Appalachian mountains we moved west through the rolling hills of Kentucky. We arrived outside Louisville on Friday. Settlers reaching here found the Ohio River that opened the mid-west to European-American settlement. Remember, at that time the French controlled New Orleans, restricting access to the Mississippi River.

More relevant to our trip, we found Ghyll and Vito Simoneschi, friends from Parkway Church on Long Island. Familiar faces, familiar stories, updates on grandchildren and life. They were God's presence for us.

Saturday we move south to Mammoth Cave National Park and then to Marilyn's brother Mike in Fort Campbell. May we travel safely.
