|We left San Antonio and headed west for New Mexico. Donald didn't want to go to Big Bend. We decided to stop at Fort Stockton, which looked like it had the best spot for camping overnight, about half way.
The blue bonnets along the highway were beautiful. Just outside San Antonio it was a bit hilly. It later flattened out to desert with the mountains off in the distance.
We saw a Wind Farm along I-10. You could see the windmills for about 25 miles.
About an hour before we reached Fort Stockton the crosswinds along the road were getting pretty bad. After we got set up for the night the winds really got up. There was nothing to break the wind blowing across the desert. According to the news the gusts were 35mph. We were rocked to sleep.
