We made it to LA. Our direct flight was lovely and uneventful. They do charge for an extra bag, even if you bought your ticket before the change, but Kelly was willing to take one of mine as carry on, so no charge on the way there, but it will be $25 on the way back. It was smoggy when we got here but cleared up as the day went on. Pricelined a car at Hertz for $ 132 for 6 days, full size. Check in was quick, but they couldn’t seem to find a full size for us. Literally, they assigned us a car and then couldn’t find it. So they reassigned us a red mustang with a V-6. Kelly was in Heaven.

We went to Hollywood Blvd saw the Chinese theater, the stars, and had lunch at a greasy spoon diner that the filmed “Million dollar baby” The we went to the LaBrea tar pits and Page Museum which was really very interesting. We got there just in time for a lovely tour. Then we checked into the Hilton at Universal Studios. They were very nice, put us on the executive floor 22 and our room juts out so you can see about 2/3 of the way around the hotel. We took the shuttle to Universal City Walk and walked around enjoying the street performers and people watching.

Today we’ll go to the NBC studios for a tour and then meet Sandy for the Ellen show. After that it’s on to Anaheim to see Mickey. Here’s some pics for your to enjoy
