Having recovered from the Inca Trek we had a short journey to Puno where Lake Titicaca is situated. Lake Titicaca is the highest commercially navigable lake in the world 3812m above sea level. After changing boats due to our first boat breaking down about 100m out of the port we visited Taquile Island. We were very fortunate to observe all their local traditions as they were in the middle of a village celebration when we arrived. We then visited Amantani Island where we would be staying with a local family. This was a great experience and we were very fortunate to be staying with a very friendly family that looked after us very well. We also had a game of football against the locals and despite struggling due to a lack of oxygen we some how came out the winners. In the evening the locals had arranged a Party that all the tourists on the Island went to with their families. This was a very strange evening and slightly embarrassing having been dressed in their local outfits. In the morning we visited the floating Island of Uros perhaps the most famous Island in Lake Titicaca. The locals on this Island showed us how they built and maintained their Island before we rowed across to another floating Island and then returning to Puno.

After Lake Titicaca we crossed the boarder into Bolivia and we are currently staying at La Paz. Unfortunately I have not yet seen much of La Paz due to being ill not sure what from but possibly effects of being at altitude. However tomorrow I am doing a city tour as it is an amazing city. I will also try to add the pictures form the tour tomorrow.

In a change to the original plan from Tuesday I will be traveling on my own and will be visiting Potosi, Uyuni and Tupiza in Bolivia. Followed by traveling into Argentina and going to the Iguazu waterfalls and spending a day in Brazil to observe the waterfalls from their side as well. Finally I will fly out of Buenos Aires on Monday 21st August having watched Boca Juniors play football.
