Lots of fun items to look at in the General Store.

The NHOG rally was lots of fun. We learned all sorts of RV fifth wheel tips and tidbits ranging from maintenance issues to backing up tips for parking the trailer in tight spots. Of course we enjoyed all the food (ate way too much) and friendship, too.

The rally had planned activities except for our "free day" which was Thursday. Willis, Blayde and I drove into Fredericksburg for the day, but it was so cold and windy we didn't do near the walking we had planned. We did enjoy a nice morning of "sampling goodies" at Rustlin' Rob's and then a delicious German food lunch at Auslander Restaurant.

On Saturday (after the rally was officially over) Bruce, Mary Sue and I drove over to Camp Verde General Store. "The original mercantile business opened in 1857 as Williams Community Store serving trade around the Camp Verde Army Post. Camp Verde was the site of the U. S. War Departments camel experiment from 1857 to 69." After poking through the grounds and general store we enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Camp Verde restaurant and a drive home through the wildflowers back to Buckhorn Lake Resort.

We enjoyed our week at the rally and look forward to the next one 18 months from now!

Happy Travels,

Rebecca
