The Olson's Retirement RV Adventures travel blog

Heading for Silverton.

Going up.

There it is.

Part of downtown.

Old truck show in town.

See the pickup with the hood open. Had one just like it.

Some more of town.

Rainy afternoon under the awning.

Making Smores.

We asked the kids if they wanted to take the Durango-Silverton train ride. They weren't interested in spending the day on the train. We did the Grand Canyon Railroad last year. Secretly, Grandma's back wasn't liking the thought of the train either.

We did take a ride to Silverton and walked around town. We had lunch and visited a truck show.

It started raining on the ride back to camp which cooled down the evening. We sat under the awning while it rained and the kids managed to make s'mores with a sterno burner.

Nothing planned for tomorrow. The kids can swim and enjoy the cool weather for another day. We plan to head back to the cabin in Overgaard, AZ on Monday. That will be a long day of driving, 330 miles.

Kids are excited to be heading home.
