The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

Today we changed base to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. We had enjoyed our time in Blaichach and the surrounding valley. It had not been in any guide book and we had seen very few other nationalities besides the Germans. We think it is one of those locations known only by the locals.

We took the long way round to G-P via the autobahns to avoid some interesting mountain passes. We think we trebled the mileage.

We arrived at the stellplatz in G-P (the only game in town) and found it very crowded and units very close together. We did find a spot but it was not ideal and of course because of our size we did cause quite a stir. We are convinced that very few American motorhomes are seen in Germany. However the stellplatz did have great views of the mountains.
