Leaving Canada today. We had to surrender our tomatoes at the border, can’t bring tomatoes grown in Canada into the US. Heading back into Maine. We stopped in Calais ME to get fuel at a resonable cost. We camped at Sunset Point RV Park in Lubec ME. Nice campground right on the water. Lubec ME is the most easterly town in the USA. We headed back into Canada to the Campobello Island which is reached from a bridge out of Lubec ME. The Roosevelt Campobello International Park is on the island. This was the summer home for Franklin D Roosevelt when he was a boy and into his adult years. You can tour the Roosevelt Cottage and walk the grounds. It is a 34 room cottage but it did not have electricity until after World War 2. After touring the island we went back into Lubec ME for dinner.
