Our fantastic guide, Shawn

Another fantastic day! We began our day on the Boudin Trail (yes they call it that) but we only made two stops before we were off touring the back roads and seeing how real Cajuns live. Lunch was Red Boudin and then it was time for our swamp tour with Shawn who owns, with his father, Cajun Country Swamp Tours. He is a fantastic naturalist with degrees in zoology and botany. His knowledge of the swamp and the creatures and plants that inhabit it was fantastic. He was not only informative but friendly with a touch of Cajun humor. We saw wildlife beyond belief and learned about life on the swamp, both plant and animal. You will see from the pics that we got close and that I am partial to alligators. Not sure what tomorrow will bring, but we will enjoy whatever God chooses for us to have.

I have no doubt we will find something to eat!
