our little beach tent

Montezuma beach

After La Fortuna, we decided to head to the town of Montezuma on the Pacific coast (been too long away from the beach!)...another tourist place popular with hippies and surfers. Again, it was packed with tourists but had a much nicer vibe than La Fortuna. We found a really lovely little campsite right on the beach where we could stay with a borrowed tent for $2 - so yippee we could afford to eat & treated ourselves to a good slap-up meal and another big night out (only the second time we'd been out in weeks so it's not all been partying for us like it normally is for backpackers!...although don't worry am not really that poor - there's always money for beer, just won't waste it on decent accommodation! ha ha)

The beach there was beautiful and huge big waves you could just lie back in the tent looking out to sea and watching all the surfers...really wish i could surf properly it looks so cool!

I loved the camping again too, but 2 nights was definitely enough..we didnt have any proper gear or even mats to lie on so was pretty uncomfortable, not to mention so unbelievably hot (we were wide awake and sweating buckets as soon as the sun came up at 6am!) that it was absolute bliss to sleep in a bed again the next night!
