Fulltiming Since January 2008 travel blog

We woke to another rainy day in Richmond and I found the day all the more gray because I knew it was our last day with Mark and Julia for this visit. Because of the rain one of our first stops out was to NAPA so the kids could buy new wiper blades for their car, but we also made a stop at the Beef Jerky Outlet. This outlet store was nirvana for Mark. They have jerky made from all sorts of meat. I liked the pheasant jerky but he also bought alligator jerky, ostrich jerky, and an assortment of other types of jerky.

We ate lunch in Ashland (north of Richmond) then headed back to Tiny so the kids could get all packed up to head back to their house. I am so proud of both of them and I am pleased that they are both independent young people… but this mother’s heart started missing them the moment they drove away!

We will spend tomorrow doing laundry, grocery shopping, and preparing Tiny for our trip back towards warmer weather and a visit with my parents. I look forward to both the trip and the visit!
