Been in the finger lakes region enjoying the fishing, the scenery and of course the wine trail!!

There are lots of gorges and waterfalls around here. We really didn't find out until later so we only went to few, but man were they magnificent.

The Finger Lakes we visited (Cayuga and Seneca) are the largest of the five in the region. It is hard to believe that a lake 2 miles across and 38 miles long can be over 500 feet deep! Unfortunately, they are like little seas and we had a rough go with the kayaks. I did manage to catch my first Pike (a nice one too!) on a smaller lake we went to, but we couldn't get out deep enough for the trout fishing. The perch and smallmouths are being decimated by a virus and it was a shame to see citation size fish floating on the surface with tumors and such....yuck!

Anyway, the weather has been fabulous! We had to run the AC for 2 days that was it, Mostly upper 70's, 50's at night and low humidity. That won't last fo long though...winter is coming haha....but I won't be here!
