(Ron Writing) Late this morning we left Sacandaga and continued north on NY-30 through the heart of the Adirondacks. This is a very scenic route along various lakes and rivers and through lush forests of hardwood trees and some conifers. At Tupper Lake we headed northeast on NY-3 and NY-86 through Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, Wilmington, and along the beautiful Au Sable River to I-87.

We stopped in Wilmington with intentions of staying at the State Park there. We drove in and almost didn’t get back out. The campground roads were very narrow and there were many trees that made it almost impossible to get abound with anything larger than a car. This campground is obviously for tent camping only.

We drove a short distance north on I-87 to Plattsburgh, NY where we are parked at Wal*Mart for the night.

Last night in Sacandaga Campground we had no cell signal so had to delay posting yesterday's blog until tonight.
