After a week tearing around Scotland and putting over 1,200 miles on our rental vehicle, we dropped off the car and took a bus to Glasgow (only 45 minutes away from Edinburgh, who knew?). We made very good use of our three full days there and then returned to our lovely AirBnB apartment in Edinburgh. We were exhausted.

We had pretty much see all that we wanted to see in Edinburgh during our full week in the city at the beginning of our trip to Scotland, so we just took it easy, slept in, caught up on emails, had afternoon naps, and prepared ourselves for our flight to Cardiff, Wales. We planned to spend a couple of days in the capital, and then rent another car and spend a week seeing as much of Wales as we could squeeze in.
