The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

We had intended to go to Trier but we woke up to heavy rain which looked as if it was going to last all day. Not a day for exploring but we went in the afternoon to the outskirts to find the garage where we were taking the car in for a service the next day.

Coming back the weather had improved a bit so we decided to explore the Mosel between Trier and Minheim. The one thing we have discovered is if you want good views of the Mosel River then find a road that goes up the steep valley sides. We did just that and were rewarded once again with great views despite the weather. We even managed a short walk along a ridge with daisy having some off leash time before the rain came in again.

Every time we walk or look at the vineyards we are amazed how anybody works to tend the vines on such steep slopes. Rather them than us.
