Today was a much better day so we headed to the National Botanic Garden of Wales and enjoyed exploring the gardens. The gardens sit on what remains of an immense estate owned by William Paxton a 19th century banker.

The center piece of the garden is the vast oval glasshouse designed by Norman Foster. Inside are plants from South Africa, Australia, Chile, California and the Mediterranean.

The gardens were interesting but not in the league of the Montreal Botanical Gardens.
