We are on the road again after spending the holidays in Mesa. It is great to be in the rig again exploring. We are joining our friends, J.C. & Bev at Catalina State Park just outside of Tucson for three days of exploring the area. C.S.P. is 82 miles from our home and is a great drive down Hwy 79 through the desert towards Oro Valley via Florence.

This Arizona state park is a non-reservation park with and without hook ups. $25 a night got us electricity and water. There was a dump station at the end of our loop. The park is nestled at the foothills of the gorgeous range of the Catalina Mountains. The sites are spacious and most have long pull throughs. They have a great equestrian area with miles of riding trails. We are told that there are great hiking trails in this area also. We have too many other things planned in Tucson to hike this trip, but we will do that on our next visit. We will be coming back to Catalina in another week and a half with our Virginia friends, Paul and Marsha. Can't wait to share it with them! We will be continuing on to Bisbee for three days after leaving Tucson, so stay tuned.
