Did somebody deliberately cut the trees?

As it was another glorious day so we decided to get our hiking shoes out and walk one of the many trails in the area. We started our walk at Bavigne walking along the northern slopes of a dammed arm of the River Sure called “Small Lake of Bavigne” We walked through forest but regularly got great view points over the lake. We sat and ate our lunch overlooking the lake at a strategically placed seat. At the half way point we got great views across the picturesque valley of the River Mecher. After crossing the dam we then walked back through the wooded slopes back to Bavigne.

A great walk.
