Downtown Sandpoint, ID.

One small section of the beach at Beach Park.

Yes, that is a small replica of the Statue Of Liberty. Should...

Large Gazebo in the park. (and other scenery)

More of the park.

Lake Pend Oreille. Very large and very pretty.

More beach. How did that happen?

More than a 1/4 mile of beach around the park.

Today we took a side trip to Sandpoint. Sandpoint lies on the shores of Idaho's largest lake, 43 mile long Lake Pend Oreille and surrounded by three major mountain ranges. It is also Idaho's largest ski resort.

We walked around town and had lunch. We strolled around 'Beach Park' and enjoyed watching all the summer activities such as swimming, beach volley ball, sun bathing and picnicking. It was a very active beach/park. In 2011 Sandpoint was named the nation's "Most Beautiful Small Town" by Rand McNally and USA Today.

It also the headquarters of 'Coldwater Creek' which made shopping fun for Diana.
