|Doug and Terry and Uncle Jim and Clarence and I parted ways with the others who had been traveling with us. Adlai and Irene had been with us since June 2 so it was hard to see them go. We took Hwy 2 and it was a beautiful drive through Maine, NH,and VT. While in the area we visited the Simon Pearce Glassworks where we had gone 3 years ago. In 2011 the floods wiped out the covered bridge and destroyed much of the Glassworks Building. They have re-built and still have the glass blowers in the basement who are creating the different pieces that they sell there. We looked down into the Quechee Gorge and we walked the grounds of the Marsh-Billings-Rockerfeller estate. We drove into the quaint town of Woodstock, walked into the Inn, walked around town and had delicious ice cream. After a home cooked dinner provided by Terry and Clarence, we played our final game of 3-13. Uncle Jim said it would be the perfect end to the caravan if he could win and he did! He came to our house the end of May before we left on the caravan so he has been traveling with us for 7 weeks. We will miss him!
