Port Ghalib to Suakin 19th to 23rd June

We cleared out of Port Ghalib in the afternoon heading down the Red Sea. Still with no wind! It is now very hot and we have the big shade cover up. Schools of dolphins come to play around the bow. In the morning we just stop and have a swim and in the afternoon we stop at Dolphin Reef. Rick, Charlotte and I went snorkeling while the others went diving. It was magnificent! The best I have seen. The reef was just under the surface and I felt like one of the fish. Lars has an underwater camera whichhas taken some great shots!

We have had no wind for most of the time on our sail south. Suakin is 540 nautical miles south of Hurgharda and is the most southerly point of our trip. Four days sail/motor from Port Ghalib with a few stops for snorkeling and swimming. It is very hot and does not cool down at night so sleeping has not been easy. As well as the night watches!
