Looking down the stellplatz

Another view across the stellplatz

We left Nunspeet and headed east towards the town of Oldenzaal. The new jack we had on the front drivers side was slightly leaking hydraulic fluid so we were going to get HWH Europe to have a look at it. We had planned to stop at a small stellplatz just outside Oldenzaal but when we got to the place we found there was no way we were getting into it as the entrance was too narrow. We had suspected when we had originally looked at it on Google that it might be a problem.

We had a fall back. There was another stellplatz just over the border in Germany at Nordhorn. We found the stellplatz without any problem. It was easy to get in and there was no problem in finding a space. The cost for the site was 5 Euros per 24 hours which we payed at a parking machine. Hook up to one of the electric points, 16Amp (30Amp US), we then had to pay 1 Euro per 5 hours. The only other charge was for water at 1 Euro for 50 to 80 litres. Finally there was an easily accessible free dump facility for getting rid of our grey and black waste. The stellplatz has no other facilities which suited us fine.

We also discovered that we were just across the road from a local lake with a good walking path all the way round so we were able to stretch our legs after we set up.
