I know, I know... I've been terribly remiss in keeping up my journal this last couple of months. We have been so busy swimming, visiting with our friends, and simply enjoying the South Texas sun that I haven't spent much time sitting here in Clyde writing.

However, we are preparing to venture back out on the road now that the rest of the country is starting to warm back up so my trip journal entries will once again be more regular. In the meantime, I have a few pictures to share…

The picture of Willis and Blayde standing in front of a horse statue outside of a restaurant (down here in McAllen, Texas) is one I took simply because I like the horse! So often restaurants put a lot of effort into their entry and décor but people don’t always stop to really look and appreciate the results.

I’m also including a few shots of where we camped on South Padre Island. In one picture you will see Clyde (facing North) tucked up next to another RV which belongs to our friends Mary Sue and Bruce. Although the beach can be a bit windy, the warm sand and soothing sound of the waves crashing on the shore make it all worthwhile. What a joy to share conversation and meals with good friends while enjoying the splendor of the beach at the same time!

We are going to a dance this coming Saturday. This will be the last dance of the “Winter Texan Season” for us. I will then fly out next week and spend some time in Washington DC with our son and his sweet wife. (I am so very excited about seeing them both!) After that we will have Easter dinner with friends here in the Rio Grande Valley and then we plan on unplugging Clyde and heading north. Where we go depends on the weather but we know our first stop will be to San Antonio to visit friends (are you reading this Dave and Leslie… fair warning!)

Happy Travels,

Rebecca
