Building a sand castle.

Finally catching up on the blog. We are camped at a State Park. There is no phone service, no WIFI and no TV. What are the kids going to do? This also put the adults behind on the blog. We had to take a ride to get phone service so the kids could call their dad for Father's Day. It's actually not far to town...the coast is dedicated to the State Park system.

We are at Sunset Beach State Park in Coos Bay on the Oregon Coast for the next two nights. We are just a short walk or quick bicycle ride to the beach. There are beautiful sandy beaches protected by towering sea cliffs. When the tide is out there are lots of tide pools to explore.

We woke up to rain and decided to take a trip to town to do some laundry and grocery shopping. It showered off and on during the day. Not enough to keep you away from the beach.

We need to be in Seattle area by the 25th. So we still have plenty of time to go up the coast.
