The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

We had a day of heavy rain so caught up with washing etc at Belbigny before heading south.

We decided to head south once again to Avignon. Our destinations are being determined by which campgrounds are open as most campgrounds in France close at the end of September or at the latest end of October.

Avignon had a good write up in our guides and the campground in Avignon does not close until the 21 November and they were happy to accommodate us.

We had a good journey on the excellent French motorways although they do cost you in tolls and arrived safely at the campground. Our campground is on the Barthelasse Island just across the Rhone River to the old town of Avignon, a short walk from the campground.

We intend to spend at least a week here as there is a lot to explore.
