San Sebastian and the entire Basque region of Spain is truly amazing. This part of Spain has been trying to become it's own country for decades, and it is easy to see why the people are so proud of their land. They truly have a little slice of European paradise.

If you took all of Europes' charms and wrapped it into one city, San Sebastian would be it. It has these charming old streets that you could stroll down forever, the most unique tapas bars and sidewalk cafe's, beautiful old Spanish style buildings that hug the streets, and a liveliness like no other place. Then the fact that sits on a beautiful bay with mountains as its backdrop and white sandy beaches filled with beach goers makes it even more special. San Sebastian is truly unique. We had such a great time here. We stayed in a little Pensione in the heart of the city. For those who don't know, a Pensione is a house that rents out rooms to travelers. The city is filled with them. The city was pretty much sold out but we lucked out and found a room in the heart of the city. It was adorable! We were on the highest floor and had a little terrace that looked out to the walk street. We loved to look out and watch the city come to life. The family that we stayed with was an older Spanish couple. The husband sang all day long and was an amazing artist. We really felt like we lived here. We spent the days swimming at the beach and strolling around the town. We went on a great hike up to the highest point on the bay. The view was beautiful!

Anyhow, we hope you enjpy the pictures! The weather was gorgeous except for the day we took out the camera. It was nice to have a little cloud coverage to escape the heat.

Enjoy our photos of this great city, it is a place that we will visit again for sure!
