The heater ran most of the night. I check the local weather. It is 27 degrees! But, the forecast is looking up.
We take the RV into Lamar for a computer check. There is no “Check Engine” light and the RV is running great. A complete computer check is done. Everything looks good. We almost wish they would find something.
Anyway, you cannot fix something that is not broke. Everyone seems to think that our intermittent problem is related to moisture.
We now have a day to spend in Lamar. We visit the Colorado Visitor Center and get a lot of information. We discuss our route and places to visit.
We take pictures at the center. Lamar has one of the Madonna of the Trails statues. I will never see all twelve but this is number two. There was one in Vandalia, IL. How did I miss that?
We continue up Main Street. There is a building made of petrified wood. It was originally a gas station.
Back at the campground, we read a lot about what is ahead. I feel like the trip starts here.
Finally, it is a beautiful sunny day. There is a cattle ranch next to the campground. I take a picture. I was going crazy yesterday. I thought that I was hearing John’s phone vibrate. “Why doesn’t he answer that?” I was hearing the cattle!
Tomorrow, we head west.
